PAX 2010 - Studio Rumble gathering

Going to start this one early so we'd all have advance notice.

After PAX'09, I crashed at Brambles' place and while playing TF2, asked Robin if it would be possible to visit the VALVe office since I was in the area. Unfortunately given that I had to leave for the airport that day at 1pm, it made it really tight and didn't help that Robin had meetings all day. That said, we hit on the idea of having a visit for Studio Rumble people for PAX'2010 next year, and we can have a LAN party at the VALVe office too!

So start saving up your money and vacation days!

We can also design some SR'2007 t-shirt that we can wear around PAX so we can be all elitist.

No that is PAX East, in March '10, PAX2010 should be in September. (Hence the Valve tour & LAN in Seattle)

Seattle has a Lightrail that goes from the airport terminal to downtown for a mere $2.50 (trip takes roughly 30 min), so keep that in mind when making plans to go to PAX... could save money on car rental and just walk or take the bus/lightrail around.

So we (me, TheGerman, whoislain and SithHappens) swarmed Robin at GDC about this, and the huge mass of people planning on the PAX Prime 2010 event makes a LAN party not feasible (as in, their IT department will freak out!), but he's still OK with giving a tour to all the Studio Rumble people that show up.

Which is fine with me, as long as we get on video, Robin kicking Avery out of the studio to make up for a similar event. =D
