New Engineer Strategies

I dunno, I mean the game is alright. If we had something to say I suppose we'd do so here.

New Engineer Strategies

The most obvious new strategy is building on AMMO and then picking up and moving the sentry to get it built and upgraded really fast, then moving it to some place that would have been harder to go back and forth between ammo and upgrading, making a hard to reach target for people hunting sentries.

I had another thought though. If an UBER comes in while you are defending a point with a sentry, you can pick up your sentry and a Medic can counter uber you, keeping your sentry safe....then drop it back down when the UBER fades.....

Also looking forward to seeing sentry layouts change every time I attack.....

got any more strategies?

This works against demos too, if he starts stickying up your base, pack up and get the hell out of there.

On maps with wait times like say Steel or Gravelpit the attacking engie can build up in the spawn area, then drop a quick level 3 outside.

Picking up the gear is just plain crazy.

Edit: I believe that the wrangler lets you shoot farther with your SG too, that could be interesting. I seen someone using it to take down a level 3 sentry with a level 1 which were out of range of each other.

I took out someones sentry with another sentry by moving in while an uber pushed......everyone focused on them and didn't see me deploying at the corner....killed 2 sentry guns and most of their defense after the uber went down....then packed up and moved back when stickies were pouring in.....Very powerful class now.
